My family and I (myself, DH, and three teenagers) stayed at the Doubletree Guest Suites, Times Square. It is an all-suite hotel in walking distance of AGPNY. I have stayed there twice, and was very satisfied - for the space (one bedroom, which you can get with one queen or two doubles, and a living room with a sofa bed), it's a pretty reasonable rate. If you go to the AGP NY website, you will see it on their map. If you make reservations at the Doubletree, ask for the American Girl Place rate - it's discounted, plus you get a little AG gift. They have a restaurant with a great (expensive) buffet breakfast, and we kept seeing little girls there carrying AG dolls. It is also in walking distance of Broadway theatres, and right across the street from TKTS, the discount tickets booth.
